This course will address colonization, decolonization, and social practice through an Indigenous social scientific lens. The course will focus on core intersectional sociological themes, including poverty, class, race, gender, health, education, and culture. The class will focus on how capitalism and colonization has shaped the lives of Indigenous peoples in Canada and around the globe. Prerequisites: Sociology 100 and 2nd year standing required |
