This course explores the fundamental concepts of networking, including the layered network architectures; the physical layer; networking and interconnectivity; routing, switching, and internetworking; application network services, and network management.

Prerequisites: (Information Technology 110 [C- minimum grade required] and Information Technology 101 [C- minimum grade required] ) or (Information Technology 110 [C- minimum grade required] and Computing Science 111 [C- minimum grade required] ) and 2nd year standing required or special conditions as specified below
