A survey of the history of science and technology with an emphasis on the Western tradition from the time of Aristotle to the eve of the Scientific Revolution. Greek and Roman medicine, science in the Islamic world, the mathematical sciences in antiquity, medieval medicine, the Copernican revolution, and the development of scientific academies in Europe.
