Legal and Ethical Issues in Forensic Science 3 (3-0-0-0-0)

This course discusses forensic science from a legal and ethical perspective. Course subjects include court and tribunal processes, rules of evidence, privacy and confidentiality, ethical and practical concerns in forensic science. Students will also work on case studies on specific topics, such as presenting forensic evidence to the court, forensics psychology and the law.

Note: Required for students enrolled in the Forensic Science minor.

Prerequisites: FSC 203 and 2nd year standing required
Corequisites: Academic Integrity Training 100
