Inorganic Chemistry III: Organometallic Chemistry 3 (3-1s-0-0-0)

This course is a continuation of the inorganic chemistry stream and provides an introduction into organometallic chemistry. The course will focus on the bonding and reactivity of organometallic compounds. Attention will also be given to the applications of organometallic compounds in industrial and organic syntheses. There will be a significant reliance on spectroscopic techniques to illustrate the characteristics and properties of organometallic compounds.

Note: CH 365 is recommended as a corequisite.

Prerequisites: Chemistry 263 and Chemistry 332 and 2nd year standing required
