Principles of pharmacology and the actions of psychoactive drugs on the neurochemistry of the human brain. Neurotransmitters and neurmodulators are discussed from a cellular level to their influence on heaviour and cognition, including changes resulting from use of experimental, therapeautic, and recreational pharmaceutical agents.

Prerequisites: Biology 201 and (Biology 243 or Biology 261 or Biology 343 or Biochemistry 343 or Psychology 275) and 2nd year standing required
