This course provides an overview of basic life processes in plants at different levels of plant organization. The emphasis is on understanding how plants grow and respond to environmental stresses. Key topics include photosynthesis and carbon fixation, respiration, water relations, mineral nutrition, transport processes, hormonal regulation, and plant-microbe interactions. Prerequisites: Biology/Environmental Science 107 and Biology/Environmental Science 108 and (Chemistry 101 or Chemistry 102) and Biology (3L2) |
